April brings many exciting news items.
First, boxes and boxes are arriving daily from the many orders Barb and I placed at the trade show we attended in March.
Secondly, we will be hosting some sales and specials to help us make room for the new goodies coming our way.
With the warmer weather, many of our winter clubs are wrapping up their meetings in April.
We have noticed more people walking along Market Street enjoying our recent days of 70 and 80 degree temperatures!
There is definitely an "up" mood all around us.  People seem happier - glad to get outside and play in their garden beds, stroll in the parks, anticipate warmer weather on a regular basis and I know for a fact several teenagers looking VERY forward to summer break!

With the excitement of warm weather - there is also the joy of crafting outside as much as possible.  Stamping and card-making are easy to do outside (provided the wind is gentle.) Grab a bunch of your ink pads, markers,  adhesive, scissors and/or paper-cutter, paper and create.  It's always a good idea to pre-make "Thank You" cards whenever you get a chance.  One can never have enough of those on hand.

On May 22nd, we will be unveiling such a treasure trove of new products, stamps, papers, ribbons and more that we dare anyone to claim they are not inspired! Barb, Georgia and I are already bursting at the seams in anticipation of how people are going to react when they get to see and play with some of the new tools and products we've ordered.  It's all very exciting and it's been such a long time since we've all been so eager to unveil new "toys."

Alchol inks, Copic markers, embossing powders, Peel-Offs, ideas, workshops, classes, demo-days and make 'n takes are all on the way!!!! HOORAY!

Mark your calendars:  Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

With the addition of our brand new "INSCRIBE" system, we now have the capability to assist you with your large volume "Invitation" needs.  If you are concerned about the fact that you did not physically hand-make these invitations - we invite you to consider the many fun and creative options you have.

For example - you could place, by hand, a tiny embellishment (perhaps a crystal) somewhere on the invite.
You could place the ribbon embellishment or emboss a sentimental symbol on the back of the card/invite or you can hand-stamp something special on the envelope.

When we meet with brides who want to do as much by hand as possible - we show them the ways they can personalize their invitations without physically exhausting themselves trying to emboss over 150 invitations, for example.

Another creative idea for brides to think about is having their bridal party members join in.  We have had groups of brides and their bridesmaids rent out our classroom for an evening of creative fun.  They bring food, chocolate, wine and energy!  They set up an assembly line and work together to create hand-made place cards, table decorations and/or favors.

We have hundreds of die-cuts from Accu-Cut

Take a look at some of the dies listed under Bags, Boxes or Cards. We have a majority of the dies from those categories.  Give us a call at the store (607) 937-3103 to see if we have one of the dies that you see that you would like to use.  You can cut whatever you want out right there at the store.  It's a great way to save big money AND create something unique and personal for your special event.

Again - think about renting out our classroom for your next big creative project.  Let us know how we can help!
